Tributes continue to pour in from the carnival arena and other quarters following the passing of former president of the National Carnival Bands Association, Owen Hinds who passed away on Friday evening.

Mr Hinds underwent a brain surgery at a private health facility about a month ago after which he was  transferred to the San Fernando General Hospital where he succumbed to complications in the Intensive Care Unit.

He  was well known for his love of mas and captured the prestigious carnival titles on numerous occasions.

Reflecting on his life Vice President of the National Carnival Bands Association, David Lopez, described him as a man who also strived for high standards in what he did.

Meanwhile, in another interview President of the National Carnival Development Foundation, Peter Reynold, said Mr Hinds would be remembered for his love of service to others.
